Miranshah: At least four people were killed, including a banned outfit’s deputy commander, in a US drone strike Thursday night near the Pak-Afghan border.
Among those reportedly killed is Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) deputy leader Khalid Sajna, sources said. He was killed along with his nephew Ismail and two guards.
The drone strike was aimed at the Saidgai Compound-12 in NWA, some two kilometres from the border and 65 km southwest of Miranshah. “The vehicle the militants were travelling in was completely destroyed,” an intelligence official said, adding that there were at least three reported drone strikes in the Pak-Afghan border area in the last 24 hours. The real name of Khalid Sajna was Khan Syed. He belonged to the Shobi Khel tribe and was aged 46.
